Joyful Learning

YMWS runs 3 Pre-primary and Primary schools in three blocks in the district of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Our beneficiaries are children between the ages of 3 yrs and 9 yrs from poor and marginalised communities. Our aim is to make the learning experience more enjoyable and relevant.
The schools are distinguished by their clean and bright ambience and are aptly named Khelaghar (Playhouse). Innovative teaching-learning methods and a caring team of teachers are the other important elements. With a combination of affordability and support we hope to make a difference in the future of these rural children for whom education is the only ladder to climb out of the abyss of poverty.
