YMWS was founded in 1967 with the blessings and patronage of Mother Teresa, who was a source of inspiration for 21 years.
Fr. A Bruylants, Canon Subir Biswas, Mr. Ashit Mukerji and Rev. Lelyveld were the guiding lights.
