Evening School

St. Lawrence High School

The YMWS story began in the classrooms of St. Lawrence High School 45 years ago, during the turbulent 60s. 11,000 children have, since, passed through the corridors of this renowned Jesuit institution; over a hundred have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher studies in the day school. Many have graduated and now pursue varied careers.

Diksha Evening School

Diksha Evening School, which runs in the same premises as Young Horizons, attracts nearly 400 children from the neighbouring settlements. Though the main medium of teaching is Bengali, English is given equal importance right from Nursery to Class IV. School commences with an evening snack programme where each child is given an egg and a health drink as a healthy mind leads to a happy mind. Promising students are often awarded full scholarships to study in Young Horizons School.
