Greening Young Minds is a forum where teachers bring students together and create in them awareness about protecting our environment and enthusing them to think about the possibilities to protect the environment. The students are challenged to gear up to do something to prevent looming environmental disaster by programs of action ranging from mere planting of saplings to social, religious and economic activism.

Students planting dozens of saplings of native species in the same area replicating the Miyawaki technique pioneered by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, that has helped build dense, native forests in the Khelaghar school compounds.
